Chai Tea Lattes

I think the thing I miss most about Starbucks (and love most about our local organic coffee shop) is my daily chai tea lattes. Such sweet and rich deep spices that make you just want to burst into a huge chorus of "Ahhhhhhhhh"s….  Here is my dairy and sugar free rendition of this coffee house favorite that is sure to brighten up your mornings!
  • 2 bags of organic chai tea
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup organic coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 stevia packet
Once you have boiled your water, steep the bags for 5-10 minutes in a tea pot and set aside. Meanwhile, heat the coconut milk in a small saucepan on the stove, oooorrrrrr you can cheat and use a super duper steamer that makes it all frothy and good! Add in the spices and mix it into the milk (or just put it in the steamer and watch them go!) and wait for it to heat. Then, pour the tea into your cup half way, and add the milk the rest of the way. Stir in your stevia to taste. 
So there you go! A delicious creamy treat that is perfect with any muffin, scone, or toast! Plus you can stop spending so much money at Starbucks and buy a cute top instead! <3
