Roses are Red
Violets are blue
learn to love all around you.
Ah Valentines day…
Ok so every site out there is going to tell you not to be sad if you're alone on Valentines Day. That it doesn't matter and you should just love and date yourself. Yes, I believe that's true. But I want to take it a step further.
Whether you are in a relationship, or riding solo, you should to take this day as a chance to love EVERYone and EVERYthing in this world around you. Use Valentines day as a time to express love with all you see and come in contact with. Say "hello" to strangers and compliment those who you have a grudge against. Fill your heart with the aroma of happiness and love for the UNIVERSE. Not just one person.
In my opinion, this is a much more effective way to use your love.
Love what you do, what you say, your friends, the people who curse you, your family (go on a date with your parents to show them how much you love them!!!) and even your school (yes it is possible to love school) and work environments. This is really what I call GRATITUDE.
So spread your powers of love and gratitude on Valentines day-- instead of wasting your time by having a pity party of how you are "alone". There are so many people in this world who love you, how can we say we are alone just because we aren't in a romantic situation? Love is love. Sister, parent, friend, dog, it's love.
Just hold that in your heart today whenever you feel shot down by red hearts and kisses on ecosystem destroying balloons everywhere.
And if you aarree single today and looking for some greater comfort, check out Gala Darling's video on how to be strong and survive Valentines Day! She is fabulous and I hope it brings you comfort <3
And if you ddoo find yourself in a romantic situation, here is a little playlist I put together of my favorite lovey-dovey ballads and swingin' tunes on Spotify! xoxo
SO live happily and with a full heart of love for all.
<3 Have a beautiful Valentines Day darlings <3
