BRIDGING THE GAP WITH HILLARY B (SILVERSTORM777)
INTRODUCING THE BRIDGING THE GAP CAMPAIGN
BRINGING BOSS BABES TOGETHER ACROSS GENERATION BARRIERS
TO DISCOVER THE REALITY THAT WE AREN'T ALL THAT FAR APART AFTER ALL.
I could not be more honored to be a part of this project and have the opportunity to meet so many incredible ladybosses around the country. I have really always held the motto that taste is timeless and fashion is ageless, inspired by icons like Coco Chanel and Anna Wintour that ruled their own realities and pioneered their fields regardless of what their next birthday was.
My own feminist inspirations have been my incredible mother (@michiamoasunta) and grandmother, who both wear leopard, dye their hair, and wear lipstick every day no matter if they're gardening in the heat or working long hours to support their families.
So when I was approached about the Bridging The Gap campaign, I was not only inspired, but thrilled to see that others were thinking the same way, and wanted to show our youth-driven media that women don't stop killing it after 30.
"I think what women seek is actually vitality and energy- and that cant be bought. Maintaining a healthy fit lifestyle, having self confidence and truly living each day is the key to being ageless. It has nothing to do with wrinkles or hair color."
My lovely partner for this project is none other than bombshell bikini model Hillary B (@silverstorm777) who got her rad username from her trademark silver hair, a symbol she uses to embrace "natural aging" in grace and beauty. She elaborated on her message, telling me "I think what women seek is actually vitality and energy- and that cant be bought. Maintaining a healthy fit lifestyle, having self confidence and truly living each day is the key to being ageless. It has nothing to do with wrinkles or hair color."
Hillary grew up in NY and after graduating from FIT, became Executive Buyer at Bergdorf Goodman, traveling the world looking for the hottest and latest materials off the runway. Crazily enough, that's exactly what I've been looking at doing lately, and am so inspired by her amazing life and fabulous career. The awesomeness doesn't stop there, for after taking off time to raise her beautiful family, she moved to Miami and started modeling at age 50, and is now a professional model, Zumba teacher, and personal trainer! This lady is seriously living the dream, and all the while encouraging women of all ages to live unapologetically true to their own visions.
