This month, I had the incredible opportunity to attend one of the hottest nights in LA at the Style Fashion Week Runway on downtown Melrose! I was blown away by all the ingenuity of design present in our budding LA designers, on the runway, and also off! Never before has the runway been so reflective of our culture, particularly when it comes to the ever changing role of technology in the fashion industry. There's a mini revolution within the fashion-sphere, where designers are selling items hot off the runway, where customers are able to buy it in store and online the minute it walks down that red carpet-- something never done before in fashion history!
Paving the way for this ready-to-wear phenomenon in the industry are incredible, groundbreaking technology brands like Markable, leading the way in visual recognition technology in fashion! With their revolutionary concept and amazing technological advancements, Fashion-Freaks like me can shop their wildest designer dreams in seconds!

HOW IT WORKS
While times are changing, so must the industries that survive within it. Markable's success has been made by its team of forward thinking creatives who work to bring designer fashion to the consumer even closer than ever! Working directly with designers and their groundbreaking visual search recognition technology, Markable users can shop their favorite looks right in front of them on the runway, in a catalogue, or on display. The best part is, its incredibly user friendly. All you need to do is take a picture of the item in front of you and the system will search for a matching piece for you to purchase right then and there! Its basically Instagram for shopaholics-- a match made in heaven for me!

Let's give it up for our amazing LA designers!
I was astonished by the urban garden goddesses, street style queens, belles of the ball, and Metallica magic on display that night, dazzled by top designers Nikki Lund, Bijan Andre, Santa Clara Moda, and Mario De La Torre. I was especially mesmerized by Bijan Andre, who seemed to specialize in couture gowns that only Cover Girls would wear. Absolutely sleek sheaths of everyday trends turned haute, with shades of red in a slash-and-burn theory that set the runway ablaze. There was so much fabric play and color exploration, from luxury leather blended over shimmering gold, to puffy pink tulle that would give Avril Lavine goose bumps. Glamour met goth while a modern romance swelled throughout the crowd, as pounding bass took the whole theater dancing in dreams down Sunset Boulevard...
MY RED CARPET STYLE
And the grande finale, my Red Carpet moment!
For a stunning night out, you need a stunning outfit, and I pulled out all the stops with a repurposed Teal Velvet Mini Dress and Faux Fur Jacket both from The Reformation. Showing a bit of leg, I covered up with one of today's top trends, fierce fishnets and a high knee boot.
